IMLÉ’s new song Casadh is a breath of fresh air for the band and signals a new direction in sound. The song discusses themes of self-discovery accompanied by a heavier sound from the band. Having developed their live sound following the release of their EP ‘Taoille’ in 2025 they aimed to emulate the feeling of their infectious live performances on this track.

Recorded in Black Mountain Studio in Co. Louth and produced with Karl Odlum, for this song the band came together and recorded live rather than tracking the song. The result is a raw and energetic recording. In the age of AI generated music taking hold, IMLÉ felt it important to produce a song that was recorded in a room together. How a song sounds depends on the people, their mood, energy and the space around them. The recording is capturing a moment in time and can never be replicated in the exact same way, this is what makes creating music and art so special.
